‘𝐀 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦…’

To kickstart a successful investor pitch presentation, the first thing we need to do is to tell a story about a changed world, show the investors about a trend that is going on, and emphasize that now is the time to catch up with and capitalize on this growing trend.

After the investors have been hooked and believe in the trend you are presenting, show them what problems and opportunities this trend brings us, and quantify them so that they know you are setting your sights on a very big prize.

‘...𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡…’

After kick-starting your pitch by showing investors a picture of a changed world with new opportunities and problems, the next important step is to introduce the company’s product as a new approach to address the aforementioned problem or opportunity. In this step, you should go visual, showing as many pictures and information about the company’s product as possible, but make sure to deliver them in the most succinct and understandable way so that investors can fully comprehend what the product is.

Besides, don’t forget to talk business. Some people get lost in blathering about the features of their product without elaborating on its values. A good product is only good when it brings business benefits.

‘...𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝.’

All investors want to be a part of a world-changing event, sometimes even more than the product itself. Therefore, it is crucial in this step to talk about your vision and purpose, and show the investors how you plan to change the world. Rather than saying that you are building an application programming interface for gaming, explain that you are on a journey to free game creation, allowing people with basic coding skills to create games like huge gaming studios.

𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲

After showing investors a changed world that presents a problem and that your company’s product is an innovative solution with the potential to change the world, now is the time to explain to investors that you and your team have what it takes to execute your mission. You can include some tactical points in this part such as explaining your business model or how you’re going to earn money, your revenue forecast for the next five years, and your go-to-market strategy. Remember to be concise and compelling and make sure you deliver what you want your investors to remember and talk about you after your presentation.
